Basic HDC Beanie

     This beanie was made for my nephew Aaron, whom I mentioned a few posts back. I used three different colors of blue. I think that the colors added a nice touch to an otherwise plain beanie! Plus, I got rid of some stash yarn, so that is ALWAYS a good thing!

A Milestone Reached

     My seven year old sister Hannah has finished her very first project! It is a baby hat for our niece Elizabeth that she made all by herself (including the bow)! Crochet on, Hannah!

     Heart and Soul hat by MollyGirl Yarn was the perfect pattern for my "halfway there" pattern! I have now made 10 hats and 1 infinity scarf! Only 11 more to go! Woohoo!

Blue Moon Beanie

     This hat is another one of my creations. It's pretty much a basic ribbed beanie with a really cool crown. It was super fast to knit up and I had a lot of fun with it!

Just The Easy Bits...

     I have finally found a knit AND crochet pattern! I am so happy!

     As you have probably noticed, I have been knitting and crocheting hats like crazy lately as I try to finish them by Christmas! Unfortunately, I really don't like casting on that much. The creator of this pattern (Melissa Mall) is a like minded woman and created a pattern that is just MARVELOUS!

A Crocheted Cloche

     This hat pattern was from an old book I was given of knitted and crocheted hats. I must point out that I did change quite a bit about the pattern, including adding rounds and three bows.

A Scoodie Gone Awry

     I asked my Mom what she wanted me to make her for Christmas. A hat? A scarf? She doesn't really like beanies, so I suggested a Scoodie (a scarf with a hoody). She liked that idea and I began to make it using one of the NUMEROUS skeins of white yarn that I have.

     It turns out that Lion Brand Homespun is a bad yarn to use when making a hood. Once I had gotten pretty far along, it started to look like... Oh, please no! George Washington's hair! 

     

     I finished the hood and I couldn't even continue because all I could see was a lovely curled wig atop George Washington's head. Soooo, it's dress up clothes now. 

     This is my nephew, Aaron. In the first picture, he was pretty confused by what I put on his head. In the second and third pictures, he got distracted by Doctor Who and looked away.
