How to: BPDC

Back post double crochet, written as bpdc, is almost exactly the same as front post double crochet! It is slightly harder than fpdc, but not too much.

To begin, crochet up to the point that you wish to bpdc and yarn over.

Insert your hook from the back of the work to the front.

Now, push your hook from the front to the back of the work. From the back of the work, this will be behind a double crochet stitch.

Yarn over again, and pull it behind the dc stitch.

Yarn over and pull the yarn through two loops.

Yarn over one more time and pull it through the remaining two loops.

A combination of bpdc and fpdc will look like this.
