How to: FPDC

Front post double crochet, otherwise written as fpdc, is super easy to do! All it takes is a little bit of practice and you will be able to add ribbing to your crocheted projects!

To begin, crochet up to the point that you wish to make the fpdc.

Wrap your yarn around your hook.

Now, insert your hook behind the next double crochet stitch.

Yarn over, and pull your yarn behind the double crochet stitch.

Yarn over, and pull it through two loops.

Yarn over, and pull the yarn through the remaining two stitches.

After a few rows, your fpdc stitches will stick out farther than your dc stitches.
